Job Description:

$19-$23/hr, Depends on Experience

$1,000 Signing Bonus

Retail Bankers are traveling bankers who support First Utah Bank branches in the case of absenteeism. This position offers an opportunity to gain knowledge in the fundamentals of banking while also providing networking opportunities throughout the Retail Banking Network. Mileage reimbursement is available for travel within Salt Lake County or to our Lehi Branch.

Experience and Skills:

Branch Operations

  • Responsible for accurately and efficiently processing debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for managing a cash drawer and maintaining an acceptable balancing record in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Identify and address clients’ needs by providing a variety of services which may include performing account maintenance, issuing counter checks/cashier’s checks, issuing/activating Debit/ATM cards, transferring money, ordering checks, processing loan payments, redeeming savings bonds, etc.
  • Responsible for placing appropriate check holds in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Proactively assist customers in fraud prevention by being diligent in identifying potential fraud cases and processes fraud disputes.
  • Assist in opening and closing procedures of the branch.
  • Responsible for branch security including safeguarding vault combinations, security codes, and customer information.
  • May assist branch staff in opening new deposit accounts.

 

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to both clients and non-clients by assessing needs, advising, assisting in transactions, and explaining products and services that best meet the needs of customers.
  • Resolve customer’s problems through direct personal action or referral to other bank employees or bank resources.
  • Identify and maximize cross-sell opportunities through a consultative approach.
  • Respond timely to customer service inquiries by phone, email, voicemail, missed calls, and other communication channels.
  • Maintain a friendly and respective demeanor by greeting customers and providing service with a smile.
  • Communicates well, both verbal (phone and in person) and written (emails).

 

Other Duties:

  • Interact with professionalism and integrity with customers and team members.

 Education: High School Graduate, Some College preferred
